The practice were approached to provide design solutions for a new kitchen and dining space at ground floor together with a new bedroom at 1st floor.
The property is an existing mid terrace house, creating challenging first floor development restrictions. We were able to successfully deliver the clients brief and provide a large open plan kitchen and dining space with study area, simultaneously re-establishing the houses relationship with the existing garden.
The practice was approached to design a new extension to an existing property in Surrey. The client and their young family were keen to explore the potential to extend and redesign the ground and first floor layouts to provide additional much needed space.
The key feature of the proposal is the double height kitchen dining area with extensive rear bi-fold doors to re-engage the properties relationship with the rear garden and create a dramatic kitchen space, central to the properties character and use.
The practice was approached to design a new single storey extension for a detached three bedroom property for a young family in Guildford. A previous scheme sought to extend the property out to the side beyond the existing building line. An alternative scheme sought to extend to the rear up to the boundary of the property.
The small extension provides much needed additional kitchen space along with a new access point to the side garden.
Internal refurbishment and single storey extension to 19th century cottage on the edge of a conservation area in the surrey hills. The brief sought to enlarge the kitchen and bathroom and in addition provide another flexible space that could be utilized as an additional bedroom or work space.
Due to the tight site constraints, the existing front courtyard represented the only feasible option to extend into.

An existing carpentry work shop was the location for a proposed new flower shop and workshop for flower arrangements including a small cafe, office space, kitchen and toilet facilities. The proposals sought to retain the existing structures where possible retaining the character of the simple steel framework and rough cast concrete flooring. Existing lantern rooflights were also retained and refurbished in a bid to retain the historic fabric of the space.
A single dividing wall was proposed to create two distinct spaces. The larger space towards the front of the building held the majority of the flower displays and also would act as the space where flower arranging classes were to take place with a large central table and surrounding storage units.
The smaller of the two spaces to the rear of the shop was to house the cafe space and shop for cutting tools and other gardening items. Toilet facilities were located at the far end of the building with office space located at the front of the building.

A small rear single storey extension was proposed to an existing property in Surrey. The clients wished to increase the habitable space of the property whilst maintaining good light levels within the existing dining and living room spaces. This timber clad extension proposes an expansive roof light to fill the internal spaces with natural light.
